Griz win today. Started out looking like they were thinking about Stanford for a bit there, falling behind 26 - 20 midway through the first half.

But eventually a 15 - 0 run put the Griz up 35 - 26 and pulled away the rest of the way. Had leads up to 24 points mid to late second half until the final scoring margin.

Matt Martin, Andrew Strait, and Matt Dlouhy all scored in double figures with 13, 13, and 10, respectively.

Krysko made a big point on turnovers costing Griz points as Griz were averaging around 20 turnovers a game.
Today, Griz turned the ball over only 13 times. The 10th turnover came with around 4 minutes left in the game. Nobody had more than 2 turnovers.

Out of 29 total shots by the Griz, 25 of them were assisted. Matthews, Criswell, and Dlouhy all had 5 assists each.

Griz shot 59% (29 - 49) from the field. This team is starting out to be one of the best shooting teams I have watched in quite sometime.

Griz got 27 points from the bench.

Free throw shooting wasn't so good, making only 58.8% (10 - 17) from the line.

Next up, Stanford, Friday, Dec 2nd. Will be a big jump up from this game. Hope the Griz are up to it. I am sure they will be playing with more intensity than they played today, not that today was bad at all, except maybe the first 10 to 15 minutes of the game.

The nice thing is he is playing a lot of kids too. The experience they will get against Stanford will be like playing 3-4 league games. Stanford has a lot of experience in the post and the guard positions. I think the Griz can hang with them, especially if we continue to shoot the way they have, although I don't think we can expect 60% against Stanford.

It was nice to see Stuart Mayes have a good game. I thought he looked confident for maybe the first time this year. Post-game, Krysko said that Stuart is getting comfortable with the offense and I think it showed tonight. He was 2-2 from 3 point land and he has a nice looking shot.

HOWS THE SQUAD LOOKIN GUYS? I DONT PUT MUCH INTO PRE-CONFERENCE BUT IT'S A GREAT MEASURING STICK. YOU THINK YOU'LL BE WITH THE CATS IN THE THICK OF THE BSC? HOWS MARTIN DOING? BAD I HOPE. I DONT LIKE THAT GUY! BUT I'M A CASEY DURHAM GUY AND I CAN BET THAT MOST GRIZ FANS HATE HIM? BUT I REALLY AM ASKING HOW THEY LOOK ALL JOKES ASIDE.

Aside from stupid turnovers, they look like an unstoppable force on offense. Strait and Chavez are going to get alot of attention from opponents and sportswriters, which is fine because it takes some heat off of Criswell, Mayes and Martin. Their defense seems moody and lazy.

BUT STOP SCREAMING AT ME!

Mung,'

We played everyone, 10 players scored, and we had our lowest turnover total of the year at 13. What game were you at?

Mays comes into the game and hit two threes in a row then has a nice steal and drops a sick dime! I havent heard of him before last night, he looked good. As did Hasquet! If only Krysko could get him to grab a rebound...
