GRIZ 1ST xfr exit is......

Not the end of the world! I would imagine Decuire had an honest conversation with him that we need more from him or it isn’t going to work out. I hope he does well wherever he lands next!

Look at this list of guards who will be 1st year playing .
This is a lot of guard depth. Plus Nap at 2 and or 3 with good upside. Odds are 1 or 2 of these guys will step up.

PG- Isaiah Kerr (6'3'' 185) RS Freshman-- Palo Alto, CA (St. Francis HS)- S
PG- Chase Henderson (6'0") Freshman--Des Moines, IA (Herbert Hoover)-S
SG- Dorrell Thomas (6'5''185) RS Freshman-- Durham, NC (Skyline Prep)-S
SG- Money Williams (6'4'') Freshman-- Oakland, CA (Oakland HS)-S

I'm expecting Brown to leave also.

Underrated loss. Every good basketball team needs a guy who is big enough to defend wings and can space the floor. For us, he was that guy. Need a replacement.

How can he transfer? I thought the rule was once without sitting a year?

I thought that rule was from D-1 to D-1. He transferred from a JC, which isn't really a transfer per se as you can't exhaust your 4 year eligibility at a JC.

I assume the new one-time transfer rule does not apply to previous transfers. Only transfers after the new rule was put in place. Meaning transfers before the rule don't count.

He averaged 6.5ppg and was the 6th leading scorer in conference play. In my experience, the 6th leading scorer doesn't get much attention on the scouting report. He shot the same 3pt percentage as Whitney in conference play. In my humble opinion no one was worried about him and he wasn't spreading the floor. My guess is opposing teams were much more worried about Bannan, Moody, Thomas and Whitney.

Also, scroll down on the link below and look at per 100 possessions and the difference between off and def rating and then go to advanced and look at the offensive, defensive and total box plus/minus. That's two years of negative basketball. Travis was blinded by the concept of the player you described, but there is zero statistical evidence that he was actually that player.
