Gregorak's Coaching Put Griz in Position to Win Versus Poly

Every single person associated with the program who I have communicated with, agrees that Gregorak and the D put UM in position to win and the offense was the weaker link and didn't perform up to par.

Agree with you on this one. I bet very few teams in the BSC will hold Poly to a score this low this season. I don't know how anyone could watch (and re-watch) this game and not come away feeling like the defense did its job but the offense was just unable to make critical plays.

Did you listen to the radio show last night?? Stitt said, the D gave us a chance to win with the safety, and the O couldn't close the deal. Took full responsibility and said it was totally on him.

Ahhh crap! I have to agree with Hammer....

And Dammit
PR too

Seriously, how could you not see that your defense did enough to win and then some.

The offense's inept ability to execute and keep the ball was the reason you lost.

Six of one...half dozen of.....

Shrugs shoulders.

Still excited about the potential of this team and staff this season. Pleasantly surprised actually

So he threw his offensive coordinator under the bus? That son-of-a-bitch!

Naw. The reason we lost sits on about 12 things. All mis-cues. All mis-played areas by many. Just an entire team effort. You win as a team and you lose as a team. To blame one person on this loss is silly. To blame the ENTIRE TEAM for the loss is the proper call.

Stop trying to place the blame on one player or coach. To do so is childish and not smart. Come on Griz fans man up to the task. Two games in and we are bitching about the Griz not playing perfect????? Serious Griz fans look at this past week and think we could still win the entire thing. We are so close to being 2 - 0 It is scarry.

Remember all the talk about us losing the first 3 games because Stitt and company were small time, we were under a new system and it would take two or three years for us to come around? We actually are doing far better than I expected. Naw! We have a damn good team at this point. I am in the small group that says we will become much better...... come November!

He still did not make the correct adjustments during the final drive....

I'm assuming you believe coach Stitt made the right adjustments with a minute fifty and a two point lead.

Hope this is not a recurring admission.

What is this mantra that it will take 2-3 years to "come around". That's total horsesh*t!

Take a look at the personnel on offense and see how amazing it is that we beat the number one team in the nation and came within a whisker of beating Cal-Poly. My view is that our coach has given our team confidence far beyond their ability. Some call it Swagger(including Stitt). I call it confidence and belief in a coach who is teaching them they can win against very difficult odds. Yes, the future is very bright for Griz football, we are going to beat many good teams, some, on paper, much better than UM, but they will be defeated be a team that really does have some weak sisters. However, they are a team. Good for Stitt and good for Kent Haslam for having the courage to hire him.
