Green Bay Packers Press write-up on Tru

His strength and physical nature would put him in better line for safety, also his height as well. I have zero facts to back it up but I'd guess a lot of his picks as a Griz came while playing some zone defense. If he runs a 4.4 or better he'll go corner for sure as he'll be able to keep up with most NFL WRs.

Well, I'll bet $100 THAT ain't happenin'...

I have been saying all along that safety might be his best position. However, the NFL now has a role for physical corners who can stop the running, as well as jam a receiver hard at the line. Some NFL teams had talked to Jimmy Wilson about that role for him, and not necessarily just safety. In camp, the Dolphins were impressed with his overall corner skills and decided to keep him at corner.

This NFL draft talk is really exciting for Griz Fans and especially for Trumaine. He is such a great athlete. I am proud he played for Montana (how many kids do we get that were in talks with USC?!), and hope has a long and productive NFL career. I'd like to see him continue on a franchise that has one of the best fan bases...like Green Bay or Pittsburgh. Go Tru, once a Griz always a Griz :!:

That's the case with most DB's as zone allows them to read the QB's eyes and anticipate more. If they're watching the QB in man defense, then they're most likely getting burned.

Well if they would of offered him a scholly he wouldn't of been a Griz. He went to the griz because he didn't want to play at a community college.

Talk about an optimist. Hoping McSurdy would run sub 4.7 and Tru sub 4.4  . Way to drink the Koolaid Brint. Don't worry I am too.......and it tastes pretty damn good.

Being able to run with receivers in the NFL isn't just about speed, it's more about your ability to have flexible hips....as long as Tru can turn his hips well, he'll be fine. However saying that all he needs to do is run a 4.4 and he'll be fine is a baseless comment.

You are correct, my friend, about the hips. And, one of the weaknesses that Carolina has down for Tru is his hips. They project him as an NFL safety.

Tru speaks twice during the video.

How many times do we have to flush you before you go down?

Growler, maybe it's time to pack up your crusade against Tru and go home. There are plenty of current african american Griz players for you to hate on. Bottom line is, if you're paying attention to what's being said, broadcast and written about Tru in the last few days form the combine, it don't mean squat what your friend from the Panthers says about him cause the rest of the NFL just doesn't seem to agree. So we get it: Growler has informed everyone that the Carolina Panthers will not draft Tru unless he's still available in the 7th round. Which he won't be so everything you're saying about Tru is true, he WON'T be a Carolina Panther. We all got it. You are right. Now you can move on to hating on Nate Harris or Sean Murray or some other poor kid who doesn't deserve your crap either.

G1 is dishonest too. He either shades what the scout has said, or just makes it up. It's pretty obvious.
