Greatest Play in Baseball...

Being a Dodger fan, I was expecting to see Kirk Gibsons homer off of Dennis Eckersly in Game 1 of the '88 WS.

But I concur, your's is probably better. :thumb:

That is cool Putter!

I have heard about that incident before but I never watched the video, cool stuff.

Sad thing is that if it happened today, Monday would be prosecuted for a hate crime against whatever ethnicity those guys were. May have even done some time for theft.

Wow. I was expecting something like a triple play or an exciting squeeze play. This tops them all by a ton.

Thanks for sharing this. I had no idea that this happened. I've read a lot about '75-76 baseball because my Reds won the Series those years, but I never heard about this.

I have to agree. This IS the best play in major league history.

Thanks for posting that. Rick Monday was hailed as a hero then, now he would probably be arrested for infringing on some dumbasses rights.

1991 world series... Kirby puckett makes a great catch against the plexiglass(!!!!) then hits a walkoff homerun. I was there...as an 5 year old.

And this beats the Monday video how?

:lame:

I'd never seen that video before. That was great.

But no, it is completely ridiculous to say he would be arrested for interfering with those two guys protest or whatever they were doing. Maybe if you think it is true, you can cite one law that Sunday might have been breaking? Or one law that you think someone might have thought Sunday might have been breaking?

Exactly!

And KP doesn't even beat Francisco Cabrera's hit off of Doug Drabek that scored David Justice and Sid Bream.

1992 NLCS Champion Braves beat the Pirates in 7

Smoltz is MVP.

Monday beats them all by saving the flag, that is badass.
