This article provides a lot of insight on her decision to go to Stanford - and the reputation she's building there. You go girl!

That is a nice article. Thx for posting. My buddy and his wife have season tiks across from the bench. Jos is their favorite player. They love her smile and appreciate her play. Sometimes they have passed along an email game report focusing on Jos' stellar play (and I forward to coach Tinkle). I'm glad she finally got into the starting line up this year. Based on the stats, she was clearly deserving to start. Stanford is a great university and fun place to go to school. I'm sure she's loving it.

My daughter loved her four years on the Farm. As for Joslyn, she seems to have established herself not only the on b-ball floor, but also as a popular interview with the Bay Area sports press.

Not that much fun, actually. Stanford is a very intense school. Great for networking, great for academics, great for achievers, but not fun in the usual sense,m especially in post grad...

I spent 3 years at Stanford in post-grad and one of my daughters was there, as an undergrad, as recently as last year. We both had lots of fun, even though there's plenty of work and smart people. My daughter knows Jos and thought she was enjoying Stanford and having fun too. Obviously, different people have different experiences.

My only problem? Four years is plenty long enough to inculcate your son or daughter with more social diversity dogma than you'll find at most public universities - including UM. But yeah, the benefits of a Stanford education are undeniable.

Tinkle helps Stanford women win at Oregon
Saturday, February 18, 2012
Eugene, Ore. (AP) --

A new era in the remade Pac-12 Conference has done nothing to slow down Stanford.

Joslyn Tinkle scored 19 points, and the No. 3 Cardinal put together another dominant performance to wrap up the inaugural Pac-12 championship with an 81-46 victory over Oregon on Saturday.

After winning the last 11 Pac-10 crowns, Stanford (24-1, 15-0) has rarely been challenged in the first Pac-12 season, winning its last six games by an average of nearly 27 points. Stanford has won 21 conference championships since coach Tara VanDerveer took over in 1985. "This is historic to win the first Pac-12 regular season," VanDerveer said. All-American Nnemkadi Ogwumike had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and her sister Chiney Ogwumike added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Cardinal. "It's special for all of us to share this, especially being the first Pac-12 season," Tinkle said. "That's pretty cool for us. We have had great success in the Pac-10 the past few years, but we just don't let up. That's the goal for us each time we come out here, regardless of who we're playing."

Why is everything you post here an attempt to start a pissing match? You really are a true boor...not to mention a little too Jerry Sanduskyesque....I enjoyed Stanford, even moreso, now. fortunately, I avoided certain types..still do....UM was a lot more fun, just a different type.

So I say Stanford is a fun place to go to school. You say Stanford is not fun, especially for post-grad. I say I went to Stanford for 3 post-grad years and my daughter was there as of last year in undergrad, and we had fun. You then ask why "everything" I post is an attempt to start a pissing match.

Well, this is a good example. I merely posted that my daughter and I had fun while attending Stanford. You interpret that as attempting to start a pissing match. Well it isn't attempting to start a pissing match, and you're statement is wrong. I disagree with many things you say. I sometimes comment, but usually don't. I think many things you say are both wrong and sometimes quite dumb. You seem to feel that anything you post, shouldn't be challenged. If it is challenged, you get mad and start acting like a baby. There you have it. So feel free to start acting like a baby some more.

Oh God, is that about to be another thread gone bad? Stay tuned.
Nope...not playing it anymore...I think we should be happy that the Tinkle girl is making a great impact and, in the process, enjoying her college experience. She is a genuine credit to her fine parents and more...And, she has more time there, yet....Would be a great thing to see Montana develop more athletes like this with good academics to boot....
