I hope the Yankees get somebody good. I know Mattingly is the heir-apparent, and he would probably do a fine job, but I hope they are at least open to considering other options, too. There are a lot of great managers out there, and a lot of them would probably love to manage in the Bronx.

I want Mattingly or Giardi because they were both Yankees and know what that job entails. I DO NOT want LaRussa, too much ego.
