Sidney's Katelyn Frank is the 2012 Montana State Women's Golf Association Amateur Champion. She is a member of the UM Women's Golf Team. Way to go Katelyn!

Congratulations on winning the state am! I hope her career at UM and beyond is fulfilling and highly successful. Quick diversion if I may: is the UM golf course still around? I've heard both that it is and that it closed down to make room for building. Back in my UM days, I had a lot of fun slashing around that little course.

All 9 holes are still there. The third hole off that plateau is one of my favorites :thumb:

I seem to recall facing a lot of 2nd shots from that hillside above the right hand rough on that hole...I had a real knack for slicing one off the box. Most likely it was OB from up there, but that never stopped me from trying to hit back to the fairway.
