Hey fellas,
Had a few extra minutes this morning, and just wanted to tell you all that I personally appreciate this rivalry. Rivalry's like Cat/Griz this make me want to wake up each morning and ride for the brand, strive for greatness and launch.
The rich history between these 2 storied programs is opulent, and we are privileged and flush with tales of games past.
The Great Divide thrives and is loaded with pageantry and all the ingredients that makes college football so wonderful, from greats like Lulay and Dickenson, Bradley and Edwards, Ioane and Reynolds, Daly and Crebo this meeting is fat and deep pocketed unlike many state matchups. Every year a new chapter unfolds a new story is told and it envelops the state with well healed expectations and outcomes.
This matchup is substantial, prospering and as fans of the game we are all better off for being involved. The state, the people the ribbing, the drinks and in jest pokes at each other, are all part of the bewildering labyrinth that is The Brawl of the Wild.
I love you guys and the competition you bring to this yearly dog fight. I know I am the new guy, still watching and learning the history but I want you all to know how blessed I am to be part of the entire thing. I am appreciative, bright and a sky rocketing crescendo of thanks needs to be laid upon both fan bases. and everyone that makes this thing go on every year.
I know I get a little caught up in the razzmatazz of this ostentatious time of year, this magnificent game we all celebrate and cherish. But underneath all the swank, mummery and extravagance is just a boy that is living the dream and wishing he could find the words to express his gratitude, appreciation and indebtedness for being allowed in the club.
Have a great weekend, best wishes, safe travel and God speed
Boom, VI out,
Bert
