Gonzaga: the talent magnet continues

Mark Few's three newest transfers: Last year's SEC 6th Man POTY from Kentucky, USC's top scorer from last year and another solid guy from Vanderbilt.

Is Ryan Edwards out for the season or just part of it. I don't think he will see much playing time should transfer.

Edwards is taking a redshirt year. He wanted to redshirt last year, but they needed him to play. He did some good things, but really needs a year to work on strength and conditioning. They expect him to be a solid contributor next year. I would be very surprised to see him transfer.

He has a loooooooong way to go. Especially with the front court all returning next year.

Gonzaga has some great coaches to work with the bigs (see Kelly Olynyk and PK's improvement from last season). If Ryan improves as much as I think he can, he will see some minutes. As talented as the Zags front line is, none except PK are a 'true' center. Ryan can take up a lot of space, defend and rebound in valuable relief of PK.
