I have a hard time believing that Shann Schillinger didn't have some say in getting Luke at least a partial scholly offer!!
Nothing solid from either the Cats or Griz. Basically had PWO opportunities at UM or MSU.
That is so strange. How could neither school not even offer books or something to at least get him on campus?!?!

Of course there is a lot more going into it based off scholarship limit, kids already committed at Luke's two primary positions (QB/S), and the fact Texas Tech gave him a great visit. But you could make assumptions that Luke wasn't viewed as a top priority compared to other Montana kids for both the Cats and Griz.
But again, it could just be a situation where other kids committed before him and their was no scholarship offer left on the table.

He was at the Cat/Griz game on the sidelines as a recruit. Also was on the sidelines during a Cat home game this year. Likley was lined up to visit UM or Bozeman in the final two weeks as well.
Good luck down there Luke, I hope you end up starting for the Red Raiders. As a one time Carlyle resident, I envied you big city types that hailed from Baker. Don't be surprised to find that every locale isn't blessed with an abundance of sagebrush, nor can they stand in a post hole and feel the wind blow up their pant leg. If you start to miss things like watching your dog run away for a week before you go get him, or it's not cold enough for you , we'd like to see you in Wa Griz someday.
