Anybody on here Pioneer League Baseball fans? Any fans of the Missoula Osprey here?

Im an Ogden Raptors guy and the first series between the two start today up in Missoula.

What do you guys think of your team? Are they good enough to win the North Division?

Raptors now sit at 10-8 in the South, 7 of those wins however are against last place Idaho Falls, we are 2-4 vs Grand Junction and 1-3 vs Orem and 7-1 vs Idaho Falls.

Here's hoping for a great first series and of course 4 Raptor wins :D

I am at most every Osprey home game. They are struggling a bit right now, but did the same thing during the first half last year, before turning it around and winning the championship. They have a couple real good starting pitchers and several reliable hitters -- anyway, that's what it looks like right now. When dealing with players at rookie league level, it can be pretty hard to forecast what they will look like in two months.

I'm from Billings so naturally a Billings Mustangs fan. Gotta love rookie ball. They will come out one night and do everything perfect and win 7-1. Then they next night they look like they have never played before and lose 6-1. We have the Reds top draft pick in Billings, Phillip Ervin. He plays right field and looks like the real deal. Has power, bats for average, has speed, and has a cannon for an arm. The other night he dropped a routine fly ball though. Great guy and always willing to talk to the fans. I'm guessing he won't last in Billings long. Mustangs have a great stadium and nothing beats a night out at the park.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that the best, i.e. most productive, players normally end up being called up during the season, so sometimes the remaining players simply aren't as good as the ones that "got you there." That's kind of what happened to Great Falls in 2012; great first half, mediocre second half, after several of their top athletes moved to higher level clubs.

Yeah that happens to the Raptors a lot too, Have a great first half season and then a not so good second half, after half the team is called up

Yeah thats the thing about minor league ball players don't stay long at all and resulting in a losing record.
