1. Playing db/punter are not the measures of a quarterback.SuperHornet said:AG2 said:Not that I am a chargers fan but everyone that bashed them all year sure got it shoved in their ass yesterday. They are a very talented team with a horrible head coach. Sound familiar?
The NFL and the Refs did more than enough to help get the Colts-Pats matchup and the Chargers still won.
Proving once agian Gayton Manning is a choke artist and I loved how rattled he was on that last drive.
He's no Tom Brady, nobody is or ever was.
Are you saying that Brady is better than Montana, Bradshaw, Staubach, Starr, Waterfield, Unitas, and Baugh?
Well, I'll tell you this: he doesn't punt or play DB, so he's not better than Baugh. He doesn't place-kick, so he doesn't beat Waterfield. He hasn't won back-to-back, so he's not better than Starr. He can't run, so he's not better than Staubach. He hasn't won four-out-of-six, so he doesn't beat Bradshaw. We don't know yet if his career will span three decades, so the jury's out on whether or not he beats Unitas.
That statement is so ludicrous, it's not even funny.
2. ...neither is place kicking
3. Brady won back to back Super Bowls in 2003 (Carolina) and 2004 (Philadelphia).
4. Brady is going for 4 of 7, not much difference from 4 of 6. Also, no one considers Terry Bradshaw to be in the top echelon of all-time quarterbacks.
Your arguments don't make sense about why Brady is not a top quarterback. If he wins this Super Bowl, combined with his 2007 season, Tom Brady is already in the discussion of best quarterbacks ever (not a clear winner yet), despite playing only 7 seasons. Brady is nowhere near done, and could conceivably play another 6-8 seasons (he is 31).
