This is a great comment. I grew up with MSU alumni for parents and we went to every home game. It was awful. Everyone knew the cats would probably lose. The stands were half empty. The tailgates were a muddy mess. Not much to look forward to. Dozens of college programs are in this position.
UM is the opposite. They are expected to win every game…because they can and usually do. Top 10 stadium experience in all of college football (I have been to Clemson, LSU, Oregon, Alabama, and Nebraska home games). Our boys play their asses off and are amazing stewards of the university and community. I appreciate the hard work they put in all week on top of pulling grades with a full time course load…all to entertain me/us.
Many of my former students (I am a teacher) went on to play for the Griz. They all have shared how much of an honor it is to put on that uniform. They want to win so badly for the university and the fans. So to those of you who come on here and tear down young men working their asses off to make you proud - get a life.
