Go Griz All Access. Biggest scam job ever

I pay for this bullshit and haven't been able to watch one game yet. And now it's homecoming and I can't even access that because root sports has the rights. Last week ESPN had the rights. The week before that they could stream a fucking video so people could watch. Can someone tell me why this shit is even available??? I sang Kent Haslams praises the week before for his response in explaining why the video feed was so bad for the Cal Poly game. But now I'm saying Kent Halsam can go fuck himself for allowing these bullshit contracts to take place. This is such horse shit customer service

Yeah, I feel more than a little rooked, paying money for "All Access" (a misnomer if there ever was one).

Television contracts are crucial to revenue. That's never going away.

Lots of football programs have the same problem. Unless your an upper tier FBS school, most of your games aren't going to be shown on national TV, but the rights are still going to be restricted. Along with being a Griz fan, I'm a Minnesota fan and have to pay extra for the Big 10 network. Pay extra for Root too. It sucks, but it beats spending the money watching at a sports bar on a little TV

What the hell sports bar do you go to that has "little" TVs?

Apparently little taverns with broken jukeboxes and no German girls with big mugs... I mean, yeah that's what I mean

Could be speaking relative to his own tv.

Not positive, but isn't the streaming contract negotiated by the Big Sky Conference, not UM?

Got rid of the BS over a year ago and still don't regret it. I'm one of those new age "cord cutters". If you have a little patience, you too can figure it out.
I put up a high end, off the air, kept internet and bought ROKU. Dish introduced a package through ROKU for twenty bucks, no extra fees, no taxes. I get all the extra ESPN stuff plus the Dish "Sling" basic 14 channels for a flat 25 per month. With the over the air, I get all the locals from the zoo plus 8 channels. Actually, some pretty decent programming if you don't mind some outdated stuff. Sure, I still have options of buying full season MLB,NHL,NBA and even NFL but I'm happy with the minimal.
Yeah, I have to hit up a friend, or a bar for Root but this day and age is forthcoming.
With the ESPN3 option, I haven't really missed out on too many major college games, so far. Plus, I can Chromecast those to my TV.
With YouTube, some Disney on ROKU and the other channels it brings, my little ones don't even realize cable is no more. I'm still paying some, but at half of what I had and not 90 garbage channels.

I've got pretty much the same setup, but live in SoCal. Probably just a matter of a few years before most providers like Root make packages available for Roku/Amazon TV/etc. I hope sooner, though!

I spent last 3 years doing the cord cutting deal. Overall it was great, at a month cost of about $30 for Netflix and HBO, it was a good deal too. Except for the Root sports games and the iffy CBS sports coverage. Now that Dish is only $50, without all the mandatory extras, i went back. The games are great, the rest is about the same.

Very few care about the Griz where I live. If you go to a sports bar, you are lucky to get just that...the smaller TV in the corner with no sound.

Root sports has been a blessing actually.

Try Chrome cast. Small flash drive doodah at best buy for about $40 that fits on side of tv. Then download Chrome cast to your phone for free. Can play anything on your tv that you can access by your phone.
