Gipson

Gipson could go up there and heat it up quickly in that conference. You guys up there don't know of him , but he is one of the best coaches in the country that people outside the coaching fraternity don't know about. Everyone in college coaching knows about him. MSU would be lucky to get him, and in a conference where there are going to be four new coaches this next season he would by far be the best x's and o's guy in the league. Recruiting woud also be better for MSU. To put it in perspective, MSU had a player on its roster this year from Tulsa, wich is 55 miles from NSU that NSU wouldn't even think about signing.

I really don't care who MSU chooses to be its next coach but I seriously doubt that a guy who went 4-8 in the Lone Star Conference each of the last 2 years is one of the best coaches in the country and would "by far be the best x's and o's guy" in the Big Sky Conference next year. If this guy were really as good as you claim, his name would have been mentioned for some other D-I job before Fields put him on MSU's short list. If MSU takes Gipson over Huse, they're actually doing UM a big favor.

Now that I think about it, I actually hope Gipson gets the job.

Its obvious to me that you don't know much about the coaches up here. Thanks for your input.

Funny stuff from BN.

I thought I read this on Bobcat nation as well as here. Sounds like some Oklahoma boys are trying to do a spin job for Gipson. I am a Griz fan but I do not want to see MSU go through a Kennedy - Hogan deal with Fields - Gipson. It is not fair to our state. Wasn't Kennedy suppose to out coach everyone in the Big Sky as well?

Unfortunately for the Griz Huse is the best man for the job and it would be terrible slap in the face if they offered it to this other candidate.

I love to beat the Cats but I also like it when we have two highly competitive programs in this state.
