GFP is up - covering the Idaho loss, looking @ Sac St, w/Kyle Hansen

Many times after a tough loss we've had some great "pod therapy" as we pick apart our thoughts on what happened. We go over concerns, possible corrections we see as fans, and then try to also take the broader look at the big picture of what the loss means - and how the Griz can bounce back. I think we did that... extensively. We also had KPAX's Kyle Hansen with us, who also does sideline reporting for the conference games.

This GFP is a long one, almost 1:45 of it covers the Idaho game. We then move over to the upcoming Sac State game, and then close out trying to get to all of the questions we had. Mike still might be "in a dark place" after the pod, but I thought our talk on it was great. Links in the tweet, as always, are to Apple / Spotify / Web - or just search Griz Fan Podcast in your preferred podcast app.

Chopped this up b/c this is what type of chats you get to when you do a 3 hour pod.

I'm only part way though, but good pod so far.

Since it's so long, I was going to recommend compressing it by speeding up the audio. But Kyle talks so damn fast to begin with if you did that, anything he said would just come out as one long word.

Luke has Data Point for a year and straight-up kills dad jokes already. I'm honestly impressed.

These podcasts are great...especially the kid at the beginning for 10 minutes and then the time you talked about what liquor was associated with each player for about a half hour. It really helped me sleep on the last flight I took to Europe.

(Ok, seriously not bagging on the kid...I'd probably do the same if it was my podcast. He sounds like a good young man.)

The James segment is the most listened to portion of the pod by family members of his, it's in high demand.

To be perfectly honest, if it weren't for James, PodDog and Luke, no one would ever listen.

That’s fair

Quick hot take after listening through a flight:

Sample Kyle needs more invites. Also, LJ has only recognized Mitch as the “clutch” receiver. Big plays happen elsewhere, but that’s his boo.

After listening to the podcast and reading Brint’s scouting report this week, as well as last weeks prediction, I would rather Brint pick and expect a blowout by Sac State than feeling that we were going to somehow find a way to pull this off. Maybe it was just that Kyle and Brint had to find a way to talk Mike off the ledge. He’s one step away from picking Northern Colorado again.
