After the NAU game I wrote Kent Haslam voicing my displeasure with the use of a DJ during the game.
I raised concerns about playing music right up to and after the opposing teams snaps while on offense, music being played between every play, the loudness of the music (more of a club scene than a football game), and not playing the usual crowd favorites.
Kent responded saying there are fans complaining that the games are boring and need more activity. Boring????
He also forwarded my email to Nic Hallisey the Associate Athletic Director Marketing and Communications. As far as I am concerned Nic's reply was nothing but lip service. He also said the DJ would be back for the Nov 9 game and they would decide how to proceed after that.
Well Saturday's game had the same problems and more.
The DJ was playing between plays when the Griz were on offense, apparently Nic and the DJ don't understand home field advantage works both ways, quiet on offense and loud on defense. and you could noticeably tell the volume being continually turned up while music playing.
If you're in favor of losing the DJ please contact
