Gesundheit's Highlight Video

I guess this is what Alphie is basing his scouting report for the Stanford transfer (spelling fail). From what I saw - 1. Average arm. 2. Slow windup. 3. Accurate. 4. Nifty runner for high school, much like Hyphenated.
5. Looks taller than 6-0 on the video.

Good mechanics. Thought his release was fairly quick on the shorter throws. He has to wind up and gets a little sloppy in his mechanics on the longer throws, but if he had the arm to be able to make those throws flawlessly he probably wouldn't be at UM. He does a little skip on the long throws to generate some power. However, he does follow through with a smooth and quick motion and he does throw a good tight spiral with velocity and accuracy. He does lock onto his targets a bit, but that's normal for any highschool QB. Hopefully he is learning the offense as best he can and he can compete at a high level come spring time. On the other hand, if SSH struggles, I'd like to see him get a shot this year. Looks like a very good prospect. I'm very interested in seeing how he and Gustafson perform next spring compared to our options this year.

Did this kid use his redshirt year at Stanford, or does he still have it?

I'm pretty surprised he hasn't been given some chances on the field. SSH looked vastly better than Mckinney when given a chance. Too bad they didn't make that change the first game of the season.
