General Ticket Price Question

Alright, I have my season tickets in hand and tallied up the prices that are listed on the front of the tickets and they come out to $227 per seat for the season (Non-GSA), which is exactly what I paid in Feb. before the first deadline. My initial question is this:

It is my understanding that paying early gets you a discount, so how is it a discount when I paid the face value listed on my tickets? Or do they just see what you paid and adjust the price that is printed on the ticket?

Now, someone else I know says their tickets have $32 on the front instead of the $28 listed on mine for this first game. They are in the the latest expansion as well. Does this support the notion that they just print the price based on when you paid for the tickets? I imagine I am making this out to be more complex than it really is. Thanks for looking.
