SDSU - 73 (W)
MSU - 87 (W)
EWU - 84 (W)
ISU - 99 (W)
PSU - 83 (L)
UND - 69 (W)
WSU - 72 (L)
UCD- 97 (W)
NAU - 89 (W)
LIB - 67 (L)
CP - 92 (L)
NDSU - 92 (W)

Haven't come close to 100 in several weeks. Of course, that could have more to do with having big leads and taking our foot off the gas...here's to hoping we only have to run 73 plays Saturday in a win. :D :D

9 3 & outs last week, still managed that many plays. If we're going to have a chance @ all, got to maximize possession and moving the chains.

I've watched 4 of the ndsu games via YouTube and really think we can hang with these guys. They are not the big bad wolf and if Gus has time he'll have the opportunity to shred this defense. Defensively we need to be gap sound and not over pursue. I can't emphasis enough to be aware of the screen plays. They use them "correctly." Game may hinge on turnovers and penalties. Where they have brawn Montana has speed and speed kills. I have a real good feeling about this and remember we were supposed to be over matched playing away against a tough JMU team and that turned out ok. :thumb:

IMO Sanders and Whitted need to show up big.

Go Griz!!

A lot of excellent responses here. I agree 100% with stack the box, stay sound, watch read option and take your assignment (1/11th), attack the middle of the field, use the short passes as run game and then over the top again. Make sure Gus has time. the short passes help establish that. JN will get some touches out of the backfield on little dump routs I'd guess. Keep them East/West so we can attack North/South deep. And most importantly score more points than them. No matter what anybody says, there are some smart football armchairs on Egriz!

The NDSU coach admitted noticing SDSU's adjustments against us in the 2nd half. I believe Brady will see lots of pressure in blitzes and disguised rushers. How or if we protect him and how he handles the pressure will determine whether we have a chance to win. Long developing routes may be at a minimum.

Go in confident you can win this AGAIN!! At PSU, Grizzlies look defeated when they started. I think they went in thinking they were going to lose. Also, don't let up in the 3rd quarter like last week. Play the whole 60 minutes hard. I'd like to see all 4 WRs take off running different slot routes. I think that would confuse the safeties and corners. I'd also like to see the o-line continue to improve, so Brady has time to pass well. I think we can do this!

Had YSU been able to hit some of the long passes they tried against UNDSU, they would have beaten them easily. The Pens had guys behind the defenders on several occasions, and just didn't connect. Hope they get a few of those for scores tomorrow. Chant to yourself, explosive plays...

Offense the Bison will do what they always do: ground and pound. Whoever said they have average receivers haven't seen Zack Vraa play. Their passing and running is balanced even without Wentz. However, their new QB, Stick, isn't as accurate as Wentz so they allow him to run a lot more. They will do a lot of that when SDSU had so much success there.

Defense will have no problem with our run game. We won't be getting anything over 5 yards on the ground so they will blitz a lot. This worked well for SDSU in the second half and Brady had a hard time with it. Their corner CJ Smith is a shutdown corner. They play a lot of man coverage so I expect Smith to follow Jones wherever he goes.

First, start Simis. A bunch of three and outs and make sure the defense only allows the Buffs to score no more than 21 by the end of the first half. Then, when the second half starts, most of the NDSU fans will have gone home thinking that the game is in the bag. Since Gus does so well in the first half, don't let him know it's actually the second. That way he can score 49 points, and with the defense allowing one more touchdown in garbage time, the Griz win 49-28.

Put a spy on their freshman QB who is their leading rusher. Maybe Gamboa since he is speedy. Then punish the living hell out of him early and get in his head.

Lets pass to our fabulous starting 4 receivers to set up the run as opposed to trying to set up the pass with an undersized back against a great defense. Worked well last week.

Stop with your common sense and logical thinking. Enough of that already! :thumb:

Brady is cleverly implementing my game plan. He just is imitating Simis up to this point. Now - Unleash the Goose and throw 7 touchdowns damnit.
