GAME THREAD!!

This thread sets a new Egriz record for turning on the Griz and Tinks the fastest in history. It took all of nine pages and a half hour and I think that beats any thread during even the Hauck era.

Fellas, the Griz are getting blasted, they are playing horrible against one of the most talented team's in the country. Syracuse may not be one of the BEST teams in the country, but they are in terms of individual talent. And it sucks the Griz are so overmatched, intimidated and on top of that, they are shooting poorly which is the worst-case situation they could be in. BUT, they are still the EXACT same team, players and coaches that we were ALL crying tears of pride over right up until 1.5 hours ago. Sheesh.

They have 8 players on their team that Tinkle would take in a new york minute. No question. We needed an avalanche of things to go right. None of them have. We are quick and athletic, for the Big Sky.

Look this Griz team gutted its way to a lot of wins this year. They willed themselves beyond the many inferior opponents of the big sky. WIll and Kareem by themselves could carry the load. Syracuses zone takes that ability away. You can't manhandle a zone. This makes both of those guys just pedestrian.

This isn't about Wayne teaching the team more than one zone offense, this is about playing a team that is making us look bad in every facet. Give credit where credit is due. Would I like a better performance? Oh hell yes. But for petes sake this has absolutely nothing to do with Wayne.

True but if Cherry is making those kind of mistakes again and again, then sit him down. Wake him up. SO yeah it falls on Tinkle also. I'm sure he will be the first to tell you he could've done things better. This is a breakdown at ALL levels. Doesnt reflect on the team or what they have accomplished. But you have success as a team, and you die as a team.....that includes the coach.

Exactly, I'm so sick of people saying how we should give our ticket to weber because they would give them a much better game. Weber would be getting destroyed too. We beat them 2/3 times, they can't make it out of the Big Sky why do so many people think they would do well in the NCAA?

The intimidation factor is causing the poor shooting. They are expecting every shot they take to get blocked.
 
Its not any one person but nobody has been on the top of their game. Will is getting heat because he's the senior leader and is capable of showing the country the will we know. Same with Wayne and I don't think he'd disagree.

Hauck was a douche...Tinkle is not. Those that are turning on Tinkle are not the brightest. I hope he stays here forever.
 
Narly,

I get that. But frankly I would dispense with the bull that somehow these guys are getting beat by something else other than playing a superior opponent. We don't match up well. Will and Kareem have regressed back to street ball and while the defense hasn't been bad, syracuse can get anything they want at the rim.

They most certainly could play better. My guess they show better in the second half.
 
Prediction: You will outscore us (or at least play much better) in the second half when your guys have settled down. But you will lose because it won't be enough.

I'm just pissed that ONCE AGAIN I'm gonna have to explain to my friends that I talk up the Griz to, that "no, no those aren't the REAL Grizzlies from all season.
 
Tinks is not the problem here. He just summed up the entire game..He could be typing the same things we are...Where are the Griz tonight...this is not what they played hard all year to achieve.
 
Tinkle said our boys need to play with more intensity... walking the ball is not very intense... Pick it up, guys!! :x
 
Hopefully this quiets the Sororiety Girl squeals from EGriz that Cherry is a first-round draft pick... sheesh.
