Butler crushed something (someone??) called Taylor today.
South Dakota leads St Thomas (from Butker's conf) 7-0 at half.

Taylor is an NAIA school. St. Thomas is from Butler's conference, but they are a recent transition from Division 3.EverettGriz said:Butler crushed something (someone??) called Taylor today.

Saw that. Taylor is NAIA, near as I can tell. Top NAIA apparently, but still ...EverettGriz said:Butler crushed something (someone??) called Taylor today.

I did notice from the box score that our "buddy" Bushka put up 185 yards passing on almost 60% completion. But their big gun was a back -- Jyran Mitchell -- who logged 178 yards rushing, averaging almost 15 yards a carry. Who knew? (He got 23 yards on 12 carries against the Griz.)
Interesting. I must have got the wrong (or maybe a really old) hit. What I found said they were in the upper tier. Not a power, necessarily, but upper tier. Oh well. Either way, Butler should have stomped them ... if they have notions of being a power in the Pioneer.hm.grwn.grizfan said:Taylor is not even close to the top of NAIA. If anything butler should have beaten them by more as a D1 playing a bad NAIA squad. Frontier conference teams like tech and Carroll would crush Taylor, who has had a losing season for the last five or six seasons.
