I was reading my ESPN Insider blog today, and noticed that Fran had writen one about the NCAA selection committee. This grabbed my attention for two reasons, 1)He is a great college basketball analyst. 2) He came to the Roundball classic this year and told everybody that the game against West Virgina was going to be a 2 hour long commercial for the Unverisity of Montana basketball program.

I start reading his article, and am enjoying it, when I all of a sudden realize that he hasnt said anything about Montana yet. As I kept reading...there it was.

Here's how I feel. From now until Selection Sunday is a long, long time. Like many of my hardworking, basketball-loving ESPN colleagues, I am diligently preparing for the coming season. I hate to run my mouth without doing a lot of home work, so the preparation is year-round. I love watching tape from last year and trying to analyze why Montana beat Nevada in the NCAA Tournament and how good the Grizzlies' Andrew Straight is. I'm scratching my head less about how North Dakota State upset Wisconsin in January now that I've seen it for myself on tape recently. I'm analyzing how good Alabama's Ronald Steele might be and why his teammate, Jamario Davidson, needs a go-to move over his left shoulder to develop into a legit NBA lottery pick. Our job is to prepare as much as we can and disseminate information to you over the course of the season. Anything less would be phony.

He spelled Andrew's name wrong, but I can live with that.

Andrew looked clean tonight, and made everybody around him better. The whole team came out flat shooting but I could really tell that they are going to atop the conference in defence because they really get after it.

Cameron Rundles looked good shooting the ball, and the Aussie looked skinny but was doing alright for himself.

I cant wait for this season to start

Simms and Mayes didnt even suit up tonight
