Justin Ford has tied the FCS NCAA record of 8 games in a row with an interception. He tied the record of Jamar Williams who played for Morgan State from 1998-2001. The NCAA overall record is 15 games in a row by Al Brosky who played for FBS Illinois 1950-1952.

I thought he was gonna have to make two against the Cats to stay on par until he came through. Now I guess one pick in the brawl is all we can expect from him! Amazing.

Two things.

1. Ford's streak is unreal, seems the secondary is no longer a MAJOR concern like in past years.

2. Al Brosky is a football name if there ever was one.

Cats may only throw the ball two times. May be tough for him to keep the steak going. Was hoping he and McCutcheon would have a battle. Not sure we will see that though. From what I have seen. Cat QB’s can’t throw the ball very effectively.

MSU QB’s average 23 attempts a game, have the 2nd highest average Yards/Completion and have more TD passes than Montana QB’s. They seem to be fairly effective and efficient.

Good stats, but having more TD’s than Montana’s QB’s isn’t saying much. Also watch them (mainly their starter) when it comes crunch time. Montana may have the best secondary they have played against all year. I don’t think they will have 23 attempts. God I hope I am wrong.

#2 Only eclipsed by Max McGee and the dude he replaced, Boyd Dowler. Elite WRs in the 1960s. I have to imagine that Boyd Dowler knew exactly how to change the oil on a Plymouth.

I’m only saying that if we’re defining MSU QB’s as “not very effective”, how are we defining UM’s QB’s? And what would give you an indication that we’re better than they are?

AZ, I am not arguing that UM’s QB’s are better or worse than MSU’s. Although I would say if you have CH MSU’s running game he would be one hell of a lot better than their starter. Unfortunately Knight going out and all the other injuries have really dialed back the playbook. I am saying that MSU is a run first team and I don’t think their QB’s are very good passers. They won’t air it out this week. I would love to see them do that and Ford get another pick. I base my opinion on the games I have watched. This weekend will tell the tale. For the record - Griz win. Better defense, special teams and they are home. I don’t care what the numbers say. Given that the teams did not play all of the same opponents, it is tough to get a feel for this one.

MSU has hardly been behind; let's get a lead and see how their passing game looks coming from behind.

I’m not comfortable with the end of that sentence.
