Where are the watch parties at other than the obvious reds, pressbox, etc? Are there official watch parties that will have a camera there and be featured during the game? what are the odds of getting a seat at one?

I'd actually love to know this. I was thinking of hosting friends at my house, but if there is a good watch party full of Griz fans somewhere, that would be a lot of fun.

I know this has been brought up in the past, but it would be cool to have a watch party in Dahlberg on the big screens. Maybe free admission but offer concessions to make some money. Or have some local eateries cater and they could charge where UM gets a percentage for hosting. Maybe UM could negotiate a bigger percentage for the eateries getting free advertising opportunities throughout the game on the video screens and at center court. Someone from GSA or AD could stay in Missoula for fundraising at the event. Another split-the-pot opportunity and other activities.

The media might mention it during the broadcast so free promotion of UM, the area, and the passion of its fanbase.

There's no basketball game that day (only a mens' home game the night before). They still have a week to organize for it.

Anyways, it would give a family-friendly option to some that might want the social aspect of a watch party but don't want to host or aren't bar people.

It's really too bad that the Windbag and Lewis and Clark Brewery aren't having watch parties. The Headwaters Brewery is really terrible to get in or out of and it's got a VERY small parking lot.

Personal Opinion alert:

Also, the beer they offer there isn't very good. I've tried it several times, not good. It was more tolerable when Rockstar BBQ was co-located, but that ship sailed.

I’m sure every bar/casinos with TVs is having a watch party. Just not officially registered with the alumni association. BW’s, Munis, Windbag, Lewis/Clark, Motherlode, all the Town Pump casinos.

Thanks for the info. Wife and I will be heading to Duke's in Scottsdale and hoping to meet up with other Griz fans.

Unless I’m at the game, I could never watch a game this important around others. It’s an “alone in the basement with no interruptions” kind of game
