Two of the kids work at Sage, so they got a 50% discount... Still cost my son $150 for his part of the meal. Good ol Frontier Pies. I took a date there in 1994, in my convertible mustang thinking I was hot shit (I was 17)... We got done with dinner and I asked if she wanted to do something else (like bowling at the SUB) she said "No, my ex boyfriend and I are getting back together, so you can just take me home"

Good to know bowling at the SUB was just as big of a deal in ‘94 as it was in ‘80. Hot times, for sure…

There is WAY more to my 1994 story than that, but I won't get into it.. It involves a hit and run... Back then there wasn't a lot of options for High School kids to do.. I was the Head DJ at the Skate Pallace, so I was busy every Friday and Saturday spinning Bryan Adam's and Poison songs...

Sounds like this story involves Lisa Loeb and the Bozeman equivalent of the Chappaquiddick bridge. Would that be the Axtell bridge? Not many notable bridges in Bozo.

Um...No, Lisa Loeb was during college in Minniapolis. The hit and run has to do with the girls boyfriend. No bridge was involved, but my convertible was... The car wasn't damaged, but his ankle was...

Whoa, WHOA! Your honor, my client isn't making sense. He's admitting to things that never happened. This isn't admissible in any way, and the State knows it.

I was found innocent of all charges... think the judge said something like "If you try to run at, and hit someone in a moving vehicle, then what happens to you, is on you"

Now THIS is what HS is all about. hahahahaha
To the point made earlier though, back in the early 90s we would make trips to girls divisionals and state after football season (as they were same season as football back then). It is where you went and man...if you DIDN'T go, you were a loser. hahahaha. Crazy how things have changes. Even now, my high school kids don't necessarily want to go to other sports to watch. FB mostly yes...my daughter plays varsity soccer and they get parents and a few friends, but certainly no support otherwise. She would go watch her friends play GBB (same winter season as soccer here in AZ) on occasion, but...only on occasion. We would always go to GBB games or VB matches when we were at home. We also hosted state VB once I think, and we would skip class to go watch.
Sigh...man I'm old...

So much fun back then... Went to these all my Junior and Senior year
Missoula for a Soccer State Tournament... 6 of us stayed in one room at the "Thunder Chicken" (Thunder Bird).
Basketball State in Butte (4 different Bozeman cars had their windows smashed in with notes that said "Beat THAT" after we beat Butte in the 1st round)
Basketball State in Billings (SO MANY parties with Billings Senior kids)
Volleyball State (no teacher had anything planned on the Thursday or Friday because we had subs those days...Because the teachers were all at the games)

I asked my son today before school if anyone was going to State Basketball, he said "I know a couple people are, but most are going skiing instead those days...

Billings Senior grad here. I think I'm older than you, so divisionals was in Great Falls my high school years. But this sounds familiar.
I drove w a buddy and two girls and we all lied to our parents and shared a hotel room. And no, nothing happened. Still had fun, despite, I think the most memorable moment being I happened to catch the vomit of one of the girls in my hand as she missed the trash can.

AA didn't have divisional tourney when I was in High School. They just had play-in games at the highest seeds home gym. State was the only tournament, so if your team made it EVERYONE went.

man, when I was a sophomore at BHS I thought I was straight ballin when I took my Belgrade girlfriend to Frontier Pies for dinner AND got a pie to take home. 10 people eating at Sage Lodge will likely be a $1000 dinner bill

That is a lovely story. Nice to know romance prevails. No doubt that sweet girl married her ex boyfriend. 👩‍❤️‍👨

Three children and five years later her attorney is telling her spouse he’s responsible for the children’s maintenance because she’s leaving him. She is moving in with her significantly older boss at work who has left his wife of twenty years, driving the jilted spouse to drink. 🥃

Sorry that girl bailed on you Saccat. You could have had a much more interesting life. As is, you are just a sorry bobcat fan getting ‘stood up’ by your football team. This bobcat maiden could have spiced things up. 🧨
