Wow, since USC's choke today, U of F is looking invincible. I like Meyer, but hate FL schools. I like Michigan though, yet hard for me to pick them over FL. My vote goes to MI, being I want all of FL to call for a playoff system now that Urban got the ball rolling last week!!!!!

I think it is funnier than hell what the BCS has brought upon themselves. I could not care less who plays for the mythical championship. A true champion is crowned on the field, not the polls.

Amen to that, but I hope UM gets the nod.

Florida it is. They leapfrogged MI for the #2 spot in the BCS. Fla. was 9-1 against bowl eligible teams and (if I recall correctly)had the toughest schedule.

I try hard to ignore the BCS but saw this at today's Sports Pickle and had to pass it along. I wish I had written this:

"We managed to get a clear No. 1 like Ohio State in the championship game using the BCS, but in a playoff they could have been upset in a thrilling first round game by a team like Boise State, or knocked off in the semifinals in a game for the ages against rival Michigan,” said Weiberg. “And who in their right mind would want to watch that? No, if the public really knew what a playoff system would be like, they would be against it. Who wants a month of playoff games culminating in a championship game between two teams tired and worn out from proving they belong there when we can have more than a month of dead time to build excitement for a game selected by a computer? I honestly don’t understand the argument for a playoff.”

How about Florida-Michigan in the Rose Bowl with USC going to the Sugar to play LSU. Leaving Notre Dame out. Winner of Michigan-Florida gets OSU in the title game.
