I like it, Bobby already promoting Griz football

Special sale runs for 1 week only on new season tickets.

Good home game schedule next year too. Get the cats at home and also a big Missouri Valley Conference opponent in Northern Iowa. Tickets make a great gift for the holidays.

Leadership ... it shows up in surprising and sometimes amazing ways.

How often have we seen a clever marketing campaign -- of any kind -- out of the University of Montana? I'm hard put to remember a damn thing. (And let's not get started here, again, on the crappy job they do contacting prospecting new students.) But this is truly a clever approach to attract new season ticket holders.

Bodnar and Hauck are not even on the payroll yet, but their leadership is, IMHO, already having a major, positive impact. Far-fetched? I don't think so ... seen too much history (military, business, and even medicine).

This better not mess up my slow tot to the front row. I’m only in 22, I needed Stitt for 2-3 years so I could be down in front. Galldang.

So just to clarify, we have had season tickets for almost 20 years. Is this for anyone or just the new never had season tickets kinda guy?

For the new season ticket fans who've never had them. I think it's a great idea to get new fans excited about season tickets.

Anybody have an idea how many tickets are available that would qualify for this? Doesn't seem like a bad idea to me, and I'm thinking about it.

And people were saying there wasn't an attendance problem...when was the last time ticket prices went down? This isn't some clever marketing strategy, demand has gone down.

But those of us who have been season ticket holders forever get no break...? Why is loyalty not rewarded?

But they're not going down for good. They are for one week and one week only. But yes, UM certainly had an attendance issue this season regardless. With JMU's playoff run, they'll finish ahead of the Griz in FCS attendance this season.

Smells of desperation. I kid.

So is it straight up this price or do you have to pay a booster fee along with these and of how much?

Who was saying that attendance wasn't down, at least a bit? I recall seeing and hearing multiple people this season say that attendance had at least softened.

Yeah, I was thinking that my almost 20 years of tickets would be rewarded too, but no. On the other hand, he is selling season tickets in December, and I have to wait until April to buy mine. Honestly, I was seriously considering dropping two of my seats after this last year. Now I think I may have to try and find two more close to me.

Pretty standard approach for new-customer promotions. If you really care, try the "squeaky wheel" strategy. We once did that with a magazine subscription promotion where we thought the bonus/prize that went with the discount looked really good (some sort of book and a video from Sports Illustrated, I think). My wife asked politely, and -- while we did not get a reduction in our subscription cost -- they did send us the video. Not sure if that would help in this case, but it might prod to come up with some "reward" for long-time ticket holders.
