Nicholson is a savvy hire. He seems cutting edge. Keeps up on the science and new ideas. I like it. He did wonders this past year with guys making big gains.

OK = good :thumb: Now we want to see results. No more 300-400 Bobcat rushing yardage days.

I agree - if Nicholson = gains, then we need to see results on the field. Strength and conditioning gains need to = wins.

It was not on him as he bettered the strength and athleticism across the board. Plus player injuries have been way down like on pulls and things like that. I put it on scheme for the bobcat performances.

Yes=OK. I like your posts dayday. Actually, Nobody is pinning all that on Nicholson. We want results -
Just want to see an increased future toughness and part of that is better strength and conditioning (for which we rely on Nicholson). :thumb:

No I get it at the end of the day it’s results that matter when saying if a coach does well. I think for a strength coach what he has done is impressive so glad Hauck saw that and kept him on.

Couldn't agree more and if you look at it from an injury perspective which is what these guys get judged on more than anything his record is pretty legit. He kept his guys pretty darn healthy through the year

Assume that Germer, Green and Shann played a large role in having Bobby kept Nicholson. Without regard to Nicholson's presumably very good weight program, having him stay on will be very helpful for the transition for the players.

Freak injuries. Every single one of them to the QBs.

3 of the injuries having been broken legs or damaged tendons/muscles in the leg, two others concussions. One could argue that the design might've attributed to it. With less line protection up front and less defensive concern on the running game there's been a heavier rush on the QB. Also with a system that's more based on making post-snap reads it could suggest the QBs generally need to hold onto the ball a little longer too.

My curiosity has been aroused.

Why didn't Hauck keep Ferriter? He isn't an unknown to him. The guy played under Hauck in UM and served as Hauck's graduate assistant coach in UNLV. He's a young coach who has at least shown a little promise.

I'm just really curious to know why Hauck would rather put up the old "Help Wanted" sign and search the open market, rather than give him a chance?

Oh, and he's a Helena High graduate. :thumb:
