Hey all, I was just wondering if this fire could possibly cancel the game? Our radio guy said something about the smoke being so bad that there is concern the game could be canceled.
The particle count is 39 now. Was close to 90 this afternoon. High school sporting events get cancelled at 95. Don't know if the UM game would ever be cancelled, but the count would have to be much much higher than 95.
Here's the website for an in-town Missoula reading: http://todaysair.mt.gov/AirDataDisplay2.asp?siteAcronym=MS&siteName=Missoula%20Boyd%20Park&targetDate=9/21/2012&img=dnc-dglnlg77&#RawData" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For what it's worth (not a whole hell of a lot, but...) Butte, which is around 115 miles from WA GRIZ, air quality Fri was rated GOOD to MODERATE (a big improvement).
:fuel: Meterologists predict the air to clear up in early October...
Particle count currently at 44, in the moderate range. Well below the 95, after which high school games can get postponed. Was 168-205 during the game last Saturday. Much much lower today--at least so far.
