Fill Wa-Griz

I'm coming on my Challenger. Don't worry. My biggest problem now is trying to give away all the extra Canyon Club tickets I have. Chuck Burton said he was coming. I might be popular downtown on Friday night.
Trooper Burton pulled me over outside of Superior many years ago. After checking our personalized plates and seeing all the tailgate gear we had packed, he said “please slow down, I want you to make it to the Griz game alive”.

For us, our worst attended playoff games are the Thanksgiving weekend (around 14k), but then the attendance numbers improve the further into the playoffs we get. I'm guessing that we'll see about 20k this weekend, and the potential for a sellout in the quarters if we get there.

I find it ironic though how much of a difference winning/losing Cat/Griz made. For the Cats, it looks like they're pretty much sold out already (at least on their ticketing site, there are only a handful of seats left in the athletic center end zone), but they still have SRO tickets available.

Compare that to our loss, and the only loss for the season. We got the #3 seed, which is the best we could ask for and by all other metrics, that's a fantastic seeding. But it's interesting how the results of the Brawl kinda put a wet blanket on everything. Had we won that game, I think we'd see this 2nd round game against SDSU be closer to a sellout than it currently is right now. And I think the inverse is possible for the Cats had they been the ones to lose the Brawl.
The cats game is being bought out by Yale fans.

Lose to Montana State at home and say goodbye to 20,000 + fans at play-off games. Cause and effect....period, even after a regular season that finished 11-1. To reason that the vast number of seats available for Saturday's game on Griztix is weather related (39 degress and possible rain), is ludicrous.
My guess is 16,000 at most for South Dakota State. A win over Montana State and thousands more in rain jackets would be there.

Sorry, but the weather is the only reason we two eighty-year-olds will not be at Saturday’s game. The outcome of the Griz-Cat game has absolutely nothing to do with our decision. No moisture and 10 degrees warmer and we would be there.

Are you new?

The size of the crowd means absolutely nothing. The fans that don't come to a playoff game vs the team the knocked us out of the playoffs 2 years in a row are the fans sitting on their hands the whole game bitching at people to sit down on 3rd and long. The playoff game vs Tennessee State last year had like 10k people and it was still plenty loud. If anything I think it'll be nice to cull the herd a little bit. Fair weather fans (literally) should just stay home.

lmao we would have had the same number of people in attendance, regardless.

Do people forget how sparse the Delaware game was 2 years ago?

Still had almost 21,000 tickets sold. Attendance was much lower with a cold night and weather predicted to be snowy.
