I was quite happy, and not hugely surprised to see the Griz hang on at #10. They did so, IMO, mainly because the pollsters finally recognized that Sac State is a damn good team. In fact, I was one spot low on the Hornets ranking.

Overall, I did way really well … better than I expected, to be honest. I’m especially glad to say that UM slotting in at #10 made me off by one for Northern Iowa … keeping them out of the top-10 (barely).

I will point out that my rules correctly predicted which teams would drop out of the top-25 (Youngstown State, Austin Peay, and New Hampshire).

However, I didn’t quite have the guts to follow my new “mid-season” rule for their replacements: knock off a ranked team and you have a chance to move from “Other” to being ranked in the top-25.

I got Southeast Missouri State right as one replacement after they beat #16 Jacksonville State. And I predicted that SHSU would jump into the top-25 after their upset of #9 Nicholls. But then I took the easy route of moving “#26” UT-Martin up. I did not jump Florida A&M into the top-25, the way the pollsters did. I chickened out because (1) A&M was at home and needed overtime to win over #10 North Carolina A&T, and (2) they got only 71 points in last week’s poll. But the pollsters gave the Rattlers 762 points this week, taking them to #20.

I guess Im a little surprised that the Cats are ahead of us still.

Our schedule has been tougher...we have better wins...and we lost to the same team only our was on the road.

I guess its nitpicking the difference being between 1 spot but still.

Your loss was uglier.

Agreed....The Cat game , although a loss, did seem to have more of an aura type shiny gleam/gloss-coat about it...
