FCS STATS Poll Guesses (Oct 8)

The BSC is mediocre. Don't see any BSC team that is a top 8-12 team.

But that's not the important part. "Manhandled" is absolutely the right term for what the Jacks did to the Redbirds. The Missouri Valley is known for their physical brand of football, but it seemed to us that NAU beat them at their own game ... even early on. And later, the pounding and the altitude really caught up with the I-State players. You could see their tails were really draggin' in the 4th quarter.

Altitude is a killer for us; imagine how tough it is for a Midwestern team. Jerome knows how to leverage it at home. We will have a good chance in Missoula. It could be cold and loud.

Didn't you just say yesterday that we'd be underdogs to NAU?

I think Ewu is way over ranked, griz deserve to move up if the Eagles deserve to be tenth. Almost lost to two unranked teams, us and Davis.

To be fair, any time the grizz aren't at the top of BSC standings, you guys all say the conference is mediocre or "down this year." That being said, I don't think Eastern is a top 10 team (yet.)

To be fair, I try to be fair. Weber is the closest thing to a complete team right now, but not sold that they are a real contender in FCS. And don't hold your breath on the Eags.

Actually, this is what I said, "The Weber and NAU games are back-to-back and we will likely be the underdog in both." Since when does that even suggest we won't have a good chance to beat NAU in Missoula? Possibly you could enlighten what you find inconsistent. Dropping "likely" was cute, too.

Why is NCA&T even ranked? Have they beaten anyone worth a darn? Only beat 0-6 Charlotte by a few points.

I agree Weebs seems to be the most complete team thus far. Defense seems solid overall. Hard to know what Davis really is. They played Cal well, beat the cants, and won against Sac State. SUU may be better than all the BSC teams they've played so far, even with Sac beating them. Will be interesting to see how the games pan out the next couple weeks.

Well, you haven't exactly been real positive about our chances in ANY game this year. But feel free to start at any time.

With the exception of the UW game, that is not true. I had the EWU game as a tossup; too much uncertainty on both sides to pick. Criticizing our D and ST play is different than expecting the team to lose. They can only improve from where they've been and the O will keep us in games. Hard to feel real good about Ogden, though.

+1. As a whole, the conference doesn't play great defense. Complete teams have great offense, defense and special teams. As Helena says, there aren't many, if any, complete teams in the conference right now.
