FCS Football (Sept 15-17)

FCS Ranked Results (so far):
#1 NDSU beats FCS. Great for FCS.
#2 Richmond lost to unranked Stony Brook, 42-14. Will take major hit in ranking.
#3 SHSU at Lamar -- almost certain win. (6:00 pm MT)
#4 Jacksonville State barely won at home against Coastal Carolina, 27-26. Okay
#5 Illinois State losing to unranked Eastern Illinois in the 4th quarter, 24-7. Hmmm.
#6 Chattanooga at Furman. (5:00 pm MT) Not a gimme on the road.
#7 Montana. Enjoying life.
#8 EWU hosting #10 Northern Iowa. (5:05 pm)

So without doing a thing, the Griz could gain two spots in the STATS poll. But if EWU thumps UNI, they could jump ahead, so let's not count our chickens.

UND is getting punk'd by USD

Little premature on that one. Very evenly matched at the end: turnovers even, 403 to 301 SD vs ND in total yards, UND won TOP, etc. Ended up, basically as home-field advantage for a FG win. Works for me -- Big Sky over MVDC. :thumb:

Fascinating weekend for FCS football:
#1 NDSU takes down a ranked FBS team.
#2 Richmond gets blown out, 42-14 (Stony Brook probably deserved to be ranked ... but it wasn't)
#3 SHSU struggled with Lamar -- but looks like a +13 win
#4 Jacksonville State squeaks by (1 point, at home) #17 Coastal Carolina.
#5 Illinois State loses at home to an unranked team.
#6 Chattanooga wins, but is not exactly dominant (1 TD diff).
#8 EWU win by +4 at home -- over #10, but hardly a dominant performance.
#9 SDSU loses at home to unranked Cal Poly.
#10 Northern Iowa loses (see above)
#11 James Madison gets clobbered, as expected, by FBS North Carolina.

Gonna be some interesting changes in the rankings come Monday.

I meant no disrespect ... UND was definitely getting its a** kicked in the first half. Must have made some amazing half-time adjustments -- I suspect as much in attitude as in strategy/tactics (certainly helps to be playing at home).
