App State

#1 - Great fan base, I am really looking forward to my trip there this fall
#2 - Great Program, their accomplishments over the last few years are outstanding
#3 - They're from a rural mountainous town :thumb:
#4 - And this - http://www.egriz.com/grizboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=41604&start=50#p534731

Wow, I suddenly have even more respect for ASU.

Wow, I never saw that either. Props to all the SoCon teams that have played in Wa-Griz. They're generally quite classy

1) App State
2) Cal Poly

And after seeing Liberty in the playoffs this past year I am quickly becoming a fan of how they approach the game.

Good topic.

Prior to this year I would have said Cal Poly. I like their educational standards, I like that they can recruit great athletes with so many FBS programs nearby, and I like their fans.

But now that they're in the conference....

I'll still say Cal Poly...great location, fun fanbase (and friendly as HELL! If you ever get the chance to party with Slostang I highly recommend it!)....nice stadium and always a competitive team.

2nd place would be Maine. For some reason I just always find myself rooting for them.

3rd place would be Albany. Not even sure why.

Looking forward to party with you again the next time we play. :thumb:

For me it is
#1 - Montana. Great fans, stadium, town and tailgating and the Gold Standard in the FCS.
#2 - McNeese State. I was all set to go there in 2008, but Huricane Ike got in the way. Was not able to go in 2010, but every fan I talked to that went said that the fans and tailgating was awesome. I hope we play them again in the future so I can make it to Lake Charles where I can experience it for myself.

The obvious for me App State, Wofford, and all the Southern FCS fan bases.

Any team playing any CAA team, I will be rooting for to no end. I cannot stand a lot of CAA fan bases.

I enjoy NAU. Always liked Jerome and have enjoyed how competitive their football and Men's basketball teams are. Hoping that the basketball team can pick itself up again after their coaching debacle.

NDSU Bison

-been a fan ever since they came to our house and beat us back in 03 as Div. III program... or was it Div. II? Always get that mixed up.
-great stadium. The FargoDome almost gets as loud as WaGriz, not quite as rowdy though. Something about having an open air stadium that brings the animal out.
-great people. Most polite city of this size I've ever been to.

Have to go with App State. (For the whole program, not just Jabari Fletcher.)

In case you're wondering, Fletcher spent some time as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns. He then moved to the Arena League and, in mid-May, he was acquired by the Jacksonville Sharks: http://www.jaxsharks.com/news/?article_id=397

Gotta be App. St. for favorites-best Semi final games I have watched have been against them. I dislike James Madison the worst (other than MSUcks).

Favorites:
1. App. State (gotta respect the other perennial FCS powerhouse)
2. Eastern Washington (bad ass uniforms and always one of the tougher games on the schedule)

Worst:
1. Villanova (seriously f*** Villanova)
.
.
.
2. MSU (favorite team to beat)
3. Weber

Montana State. There is only one time a year that I hate them and root against them. The remainder of that time I root for them to be as good as they can be. Also makes the Brawl that much more exciting when a conference championship is on the line.

I like that a great school like Cal Poly will be in our conference. I like to see them do well.

I dislike James Madison. The way they acted after that loss a couple of years ago put a sour taste in my mouth. Just a bunch of crybabies and whiners. I got a lot of satisfaction out of that win.

I usually like to see teams that compete with UM in the upper echelon. App of late, GSU and McNeese in years past.

Yeah, Cal Poly is a FCS sleeping giant. Nice stadium, with more potential. Competitive team, with access to a tremendous pool of talent in California. Nice tailgating and Great fans/people at CP-SLO. SLO and the central coast are great. Parking, and traffic out of that campus are problematic. That is the only noticeable weakness.

PeauxRouge -

Beer is on me the next time the Griz play football in Flagstaff. According to the Big Sky's site, this will be September 28, 2013. NAU football is closer to competing right now than their men's hoops. I think Coach Murphy was a good hire for NAU but there's a long way to go to be able to compete on the court with the likes of Weber and UM.
