Fargo Restaurants

You don't need to go anywhere but downtown to get the best food. The restaurant scene has opened up downtown in the past 4 years due to all the growth.

High class with low price: Montes, both lunch and dinner. They have a lobster, filet mignon sandwich for lunch that is amazing. Best restaurant in Fargo.

Brew food: Wurst Bier Hall. Many different beers and a complete german food restaurant. Over a dozen different types of sausage sandwiches.

Breakfast: The Boiler Room is the best choice. Great variety.

Other downtown options:
Mexican: Vinyl Taco: best mexican in town. Portions are small but I get a few different ones and it's still cheap.
Pizza: Rhombus Guys, has won a lot of awards locally and nationally.
Sandwich: Erbert and Gerberts.
Pub food: I like Old Broadway, nothing crazy good but the inside is really cool.

Disappointments:
Toscana: Italian joint that is less than Olive Garden or J Carinos.
HoDo: Over-priced and way too hipster for me.
The Beefsteak Club: actually really good but over-priced.

If you like burgers, I would highly recommend JL Beers. It has, easily, the best burgers in town and you can get full for less than $9.

If you're into Mexican, I'd suggest going to Acapulco on the I-29 frontage road. It looks like a dive, but it's absolutely delicious.

If you want some authentic German food, go to Wurst Bier Hall in downtown Fargo. Great food and beer all the time.

If you want hot subs, go to Grand Junction on 19th Ave. N. near the Fargodome. If you want cold subs, go to Erberts and Gerberts in downtown Fargo.

If you're feeling too classy for all of the above, I suggest going to the HoDo, Maxwells, or Montes. All are high class and pretty high dollar.

If you're feeling like a good pizza at a moderate cost, go to Rhombus Guys and sit on the rooftop patio downtown.

If you want some greasy Chinese food, go to Kinghouse Buffet. It's not great, but it's the best Chinese buffet in town.

If you just want to spend all you're money on booze, just stumble around downtown after 8pm. This is about when the college scene picks up and there are plenty of bars.

Then, of course, you have all your typical chain restaurants scattered throughout town if you aren't feeling too daring. A simple Google search will light your way to one of them.
