I also don't think he'll bolt after one season, but I don't think this guy realizes how much more Stitt would make as a Big 10 coordinator than he does as our head coach.

True, but do you think the guy would have spent 15 years at a DII school if he was worried about a paycheck? I would think he would/could have moved up sooner

Yep. Stitt passed up numerous coordinating positions at big schools that would have payed much better than what Montana can, yet he stayed at Mines for all those years. I think we'll have Stitt for a while before the perfect job opens up. I can't see Stitt taking any FBS job that opens up.

I've been curious this year as to why everyone thinks that going on 4th down is unique to Stitt. We are actually tied for 3rd just in our conference with 36. Both MSU and Cal Poly had more attempts, with Cal Poly leading the way at 51 (of which they converted 72.5% of the time) and the Cats at 38.

Read the article more carefully. The perception was there and that is how it started with 6 attempts in first game and his history shows his record in regard to 4th down, but he changed his strategy on fourth down this year due to injury.
