Would you expect better against Alabama? Ohio State? Clemson? Because this was the 4th team in THAT group last year...

Seriously, not sure what some people were expecting.

I'm expecting for the reason coach Stitt was hired to do, turn the program around, not much in the results thus far, and I will gladly eat as much crow as you like, if I'm living in a reality distortion field.

Some people have quipped that he has already turned the program around. He took over a team that won 9 and 10 games, and went to the playoffs, the prior two seasons, and then turned the team around and into an 8th place finish in the conference, a loss to the Cats at home, and a pre-season no. 31 ranking.

Please point out those folks....I'm a big Stitt supporter, but I don't know of a poster here who believes he's turned the program.

I don't thing he has singled out posters, who live in a bubble, although if you listen to people that sit around you at the games, tailgates, etc many but not all have concerns in the direction the program is proceeding.

They were there for the last two years and still around because they are fans of Griz football, just with different opinions of those living in the bubble.

Alpha on MB says the team is "regressing": "There are far too many people giving Stitt the benefit of the doubt when NOTHING has changed in 3 years except we are regressing." Assume the Growler guys must also think that. Isn't a "quip" kind of a joke that may have an element of truth or irony to it?

Alpha also thinks Adam Brzeczek and Caleb Hill are the best QBs we've had in ten years, so...

Yea I feel the cynicism is becoming a reality. The Griz have a loooong way to go. Good thing Big Sky made Griz beer so I have something to drink while watching old highlights on YouTube and dream of days far gone.
I picked up a case last week in Missoula. Great can; the beer is a bit hoppy.

It is indeed a bit hoppy. I think I am correct in saying that this is Big Sky Brewing's first stab at a lager, should get better within the next couple of batches.

I think it is fantasy to think this offense can be successful against good teams now that film is available and defensive coordinators can see it in detail. Far to predictable with do few formations to adjust to and it's only teeth is wearing a team out...but drives don't seem sustainable against good teams in enough frequency to have the desired effect. NDSU first time was successful do to no detailed films to study....since then it seems it grossly underachieves against good teams, let alone great ones. I do not factor in UW game that was a given....but look at last 10 or so games and especially teams that have seen it in person from previous seasons....not good unless it is a bottom tier team. I also have not really seen this D coordinator out scheme any decent team. 3rd year...."need his players" excuse can't keep being used.

Winning but two of the last seven games and those against ISU and Valpo who combined for 67 against our defense. Is Alpha wrong?

Including LAST seasons games in ANY discussion is just retarded. Plain and simple. SO many different variables this year...
