Fans on the field

The sports shows today are talking about the idiot who ran on the field in Chicago to shake Barry Bonds' hand. Was the punishment fitting?

I say no. It depends on what the numbnuts does. If they do what that love-obsessed punk in Germany did to Monica Seles, then, yes, you nail their balls to the wall. But if they merely do what THIS guy did, then you do the same thing you do with a streaker: get them for trespassing and leave it at that.

Also, fans storming the locker room after a big win shouldn't be a big deal, particularly when it's college related. Members of UOP's football team have done that at hoops games a couple of times, and it's been great.

Otherwise, Morganna pays $75K for kissing Cal Ripken. Where's the justice in that?

I've seen in the past at baseball games fans who rush on the field to start a fight usually get the crap kicked out of them and then you'll see players stomping on the guy's legs or arms with their cleats. If you're dumb enough to attack a baseball player at a game you totally deserve to have the crap beaten out of you AND to get hauled off to jail after that.

Yes, that's true, Re/Max. The ignoramus who stole Tim Brown's towel comes to mind as well. Not to mention the guy (I forget who was playing) that tried to run off with the ball before a big burly LBer took him out.

Back to your baseball theme for a sec, though. IMO, those punks that tried to burn the flag saved by Rick Monday should have been pummelled by the rest of the blinking Dodgers.
