Expect Griz To Move Up In Mid-Major Poll

The Griz should make a pretty good move up the mid-major poll when it comes out tomorrow. Teams currently ahead of UM that lost this week-end include:

Northwestern State
Akron
Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Southern Illinois
Wichita State
Bucknell

Finally, Scott Sutton, the coach of Oral Roberts is quoted in today's Missoulian as saying about the Griz: "They're a very, very good team, a great offensive team. They have a lot of weapons, a lot of balance. I was very impressed.” Sutton just happens to be the chairman of the panel of coaches who vote in the mid-major poll.
 
I thought Suttons team would make it alittle tighter than it was.....Not to dissapointed tho!!!

His brother beat Texas today by 21!!!!

Sean Sutton (Scott's brother) is the interim coach of OSU. Eddie Sutton (the dad) is on a medical leave of absence and was recently involved in an alcohol related accident.
 
The father Sutton actually resigned a few days after he went on medical leave. He got a DUI and admitted he had a problem and is in rehab now. It has always been the plan for his son to replace him and he became the head coach when his dad resigned. He had been the interim coach before that for the few days his dad was on medical leave.

Montana should move ahead of Akron and Northwestern State. They're not going to go ahead of UW-Milwaukee, Southern Illinois, Wichita State or Bucknell.

Here are some teams that are on a tear that I can see moving past Montana: Iona, Missouri State, Old Dominion, Winthrop and Murray State.

I think at best Montana stays, but I don't see them rising in the poll. Hopefully they just don't fall a couple of spots.

The Sutton influence is nice though, so maybe that will help.

I wouldn't say Old Dominion is on a tear, they have a 2 game winning streak and have gone 4-3 their last 7 games. They will not even win their own conference. I would like to see them do well though as I am not a Blaine hater like some on here.
 
thats bullsh*t we win a bracketbuster against oral roberts and some seven odd teams ahead of us fall and we dont move one f*cking spot(it was a bracketbuster right?)

I just want to know one thing. What has Kent State done this year that is so impressive to so many of the voters? They're definitely riding their name and recent appearances, not to mention the Elite 8 run in 2002.

The only importance this poll has is for people like us to bitch, brag, whine, moan, groan, speculate, postulate, patronize, criticize, boast, roast, toast, and any other word you can think of. It isn't going ot get us an at large like some seem to think. We win the BSC Tourney or stay home. We are not even being called abubble team people, get real.
