How many moves and shots have within 10 feet, unreal!!!!!
I was very impressed by PG play as for unselfishness and defense.
Dloughy showed a complete game tonight, including a patent
"DLOUGHYOOP" (that's right you heared it 1st here). Hasquet very good game too. As for the newbies, it looks like Rundles, Chase, and Staudacher will get minutes. Staudacher actually surprised me at the Defensive end and hit a 3. Rundles has quite a future at pg if this game is an indicator.
As for the 1st half, the Griz really came out flat. That combined with Concordia hitting not only wide open shots, but hitting with a man in their face made them look like a much better team than they were. Apparently Tinks chewed ass, the D picked up big time and the luck shots stopped falling for Concordia. I was very impressed with ball movement and unselfishness for the most part. Their were 3 individual moments that stood out for me tonight. The DLOUGHYOOP, Rundles behind the back dribble, no look pass to Chavy for a lay in, and the ovation Vanderjagt got. Even though there were not many fans, the kid had really feel welcomed.
There were 2 players that I expected more from tonight. Chase was a blackhole when the ball went inside. Swift is pressing way too hard offensively. He has tons of talent and potential, but I thought he was forcing things. In time, I am sure he will learn to just let the game come to him.
My early guess is that Simms, Graves, and Cox redshirt. I hope Simms is not in too much trouble. He seems like a good kid with tons of potential. Redshirting him may be good for him and the team. I am concerned about Mayes though. Last year, it seemed like he got into Larry's doghouse. This year, seems like the same thing. I really have no idea where he stands with the team. I guess only time will tell with him. I do know we could use his athleticism to spell Dloughy and Swift on the wing.
Anyway, I will be there Friday night and hoping to see many more bodies there.
