Keep them coming guys, lets fill up this topic. I wanna hear them all. I don't know how you can call us lucky? Your QB is the one who threw the INT's right to us? Good teams don't do that do they?

I am glad I introduced John Montoya to you guys this past week as Craig Och's really knows who he is now. Of course, him being hurt might actually be a good thing for you guys after watching him throw yesterday. He had some nice passes to the ball boys out of bounds. Although I'll admit, they did have a nice spiral on them ... :lol:

No excuses here, sometimes the inferior team wins. There is no question that the Griz are the more talented team and dominated on both sides of the ball, but the mistakes we made were too much to overcome, and when you're up against a fired-up team with their season on the line, you can't afford to make mistakes. Hats off to the Bobcat, especially their seniors, they found a way to win and extend their season. I can't help but feel a little bit happy for that senior class of theirs, they deserve another playoff apperance. No excuses, sh!t happens sometimes. Good luck to both the Griz and the Cats, hopefully we can meet again in a couple weeks!

Due to the way the brackets were set up this year, I don't see us meeting the cats again. I think we got a very good seeding and I like our chances, as long as we don't have turnovers.

Wildcat, the cats came away with a win and no statistic can change our L to W, cats won the game congrats. That's all your going to get! To expect anything more is really quite ridiculous.

You wanted excuses so here is one for you..............
It was all a CONSPIRACY! The Griz would have really kicked butt but the BSC heads wanted to shutup the Eastern folks by getting 3 BSC teams into the playoffs!!!! (Which they knew ahead of time that it would happen if the Griz lost!)
They got together and decided to make the Griz LET MSU return the opening kickoff for a TD. I saw this unfold as all the Griz on the coverage team just "layed" down. Then when the Griz proved that the Cat's couldn't stop our running game, the call came in from upstairs, "INT for a return TD to the right on 2", and Ochs executed the play unquestioned like he always does.!
At half time the Griz still looked like they would win easily, so they were told to let the same guys who played the 2nd half of the NDSU game play the 3rd quarter, which they did!
Consequently, the conspiracy was successfull but it took 13 GIFT points and letting the "real" Griz only play 3 quarters while the "real" Bobcats got to play 4!!!!
The rest is history! 3 BSC teams in the playoffs, just as planned!!!!!!

VictorG, you forgot the part where they told the refs to let Thomas hold on every play and to wave fumbles off as the player was already down.
Bottom line the best team does not always win. I felt the cats had the better team in '97. We were LUCKY to win the game. But I would trade for a lucky win versus being the better team and losing any day of the week. It's a much better feeling.
