Anyone have a full list of who & where they coach?
Super Dave #15
Dickenson is in his 13th season on the Stampeders coaching staff and sixth as the team’s head coach. His regular-season record was at 53-17-2 through the 2019 campaign.

Some that played at Montana
Vernon Smith ('00 - '04) - Idaho CB coach
Mike Ferriter ('04 - '08) - Idaho State OC/QB coach
Andy Thompson ('99 - '03) - Sac State DC/Linebackers coach
Kraig Paulson - ('83 - '86) - Sac State Defensive Line coach

Some that didn't play but coached at Montana
Mike Breske - Idaho DC/Safeties coach
Rob Phenicie - Idaho State Head Coach
JB Hall Jr. - Idaho State Safeties coach/Asst. Special Teams Coordinator
Robin Pflugrad - Northern Arizona Asst. Head Coach/Tight End coach

I think Jonathan Smith is still at Oregon State and Illinois State has Travis Niekamp and I thought someone else.

Off the current staff, Brent Pease, Justin Green, Chad Germer, Barry Sacks, and Shann Schillinger all played for Montana.

There's probably too many high school coaches like Grady Bennett to try to list them.

NFL had at least Marty Mornhinweg and Brandon Fisher.

Found this:
Brandon Fisher, the son of former Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher, is the defensive coordinator on coach Eddie George's staff at Tennessee State

I still credit Brandon for a couple of playoff victories for the Griz! Hope he does well as a coach!

Dave Doeren NC State Wolfpack

As he enters his ninth season leading the Wolfpack program, Doeren has become known for developing players who exhibit those same traits: hard ... tough ... together.
. . . In 2000 and 2001, Doeren coached the secondary at NCAA Division I-AA (now Football Championship Subdivision) powerhouse Montana, also serving as the Grizzlies’ recruiting coordinator for one year. Montana advanced to the I-AA national championship game in 2000, losing by two points, but returned to win the national title the following season. The Grizzlies posted a 28-3 record and won two Big Sky Conference championships in his two years with the program and he coached five All-Americans, four All-Big Sky performers and two league defensive MVPs.

Doeren grew up right outside of Kansas City, where he watched his grandfather, Thomas Glennon, coach high school basketball and track. He loved the respect his grandfather commanded from his players, even after he retired from coaching.

Dane Oliver is the head coach at Missoula Sentinel. Craig Mettler is the head track coach at Sentinel.

Brian Salonen is an assistant coach at Missoula Hellgate.

Matt Johnson, Missoula Big Sky's head coach, played for the Griz.

Billy Cockhill, former Griz OC, is the OC at Helena Capital.

Grady Bennett is the head coach at Kalispell Glacier.

Guy Croy was the head coach at Huntley Project for a long time and now helps out at Bozeman High, or he did while Asher Croy (current Griz) was still in high school.

Bryce Carver is the head coach at Hamilton High.

One of the Fitzgerald brothers coaches at Columbus, can't remember which one.

Close but no cigar. John and Greg both have NC rings and went to HS in Columbus. John is the HC at Red Lodge, 45 miles away.

Jonathan Smith has a bunch of former Griz players and coaches on his Oregon State staff. And former bobcats too.

As far as former Griz players Kendrick Van Ackeren and I believe Matt Troxel are still on that staff

I know he is not coaching this season but any piston this topic would be incomplete without some mention of Marty Mornhinweg and his 25 year coaching career in the NFL.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he is on the Griz staff “of counsel”.
