Ex-DB Coach Dave Doeren (UM 2000 - 01)

Now the HC at North Carolina State was really let down by a FG kicker who missed a very makeable kick that would have given them the win over Clemson...instead losing in OT. That would have been a
HUGE win for Doeren and his program!

For those not in the know, Dave Doeren was a Montana assistant coach on the defensive side for Joe Glenn. Dave was only here for one year (I think) and Joe thought very highly of him. He is certainly on the way up.

When UM kickers miss a PAT or FG, everyone acts like it is the first time that's ever happened, anywhere. Fact is, it happens in virtually every college AND NFL game. Sure, I hope to God that a missed PAT does not cost the Griz a game, but, if it does, I definitely am NOT going to call for the kicker's head.

Seems to me, everyone is getting annoyingly used to missed kicks rather than being surprised about them. I haven't been supremely confident in the kick game since Carpenter.

And he missed the potential winner against Wofford.

I wonder how many teams have missed at least two XP kicks in three consecutive games.
