EWUs Hennesy Transfers to Cental Wash

As per a recent tweet from AJ

As usual CWU is going to be a stacked DII team. They could give a lot of big sky schools a run for their money.

Another interesting tidbit....one time Griz commit James Brown who decommitted to go to Abilene Christian decommitted there to sign at Houston Baptist. the kid sounds a bit confused with where he wants to go to school. Hope he does well.

I think a lot of people saw this coming...Gubrud took over this year and has 2 years left and Barriere comes off his red shirt year and will give Gubrud a run for his money next year for the starting nod...

Hennessy will do great at CWU, he is a really good QB that would still do really well at the FCS level.

He'll do awesome. Heck, he'd probably start at any other big Sky school (except NAU with Cookus). I wish him well. Would have been big for depth at EWU as gubrud runs A LOT. EB3 will probably be a good one too but I don't think he'll be beating Gubrud out ever. That dude is legit.

:)

I took some heat from EWU fans for saying Riley was leaving back in December. It's good to have contacts in Spokane lol. He considered staying in the Big Sky and looked at both Montana schools. In the end, it came down to playing right away though.

Am I the only one who think he would have played "right away" at either UM or msu?

Maybe not the only one, but I would not be among them.

And it has been a rumor circulating in Spokane for a month or more.

Except for the part where he would have had to sit out a year for transferring to another DI

:D  Do you think he'd compete to start at either UM or msu?

Not in 2017 because he wouldn't be allowed to. He would have to sit out the season as an FCS to FCS transfer. In 2018, yes I do think he would have competed with anybody the Griz or Cats have.

Not sure...EWU has been better on the o-line than UM and MSU for several years. Makes a big difference.

The dude is a stud. He would have had a legit shot at any big Sky starting job, save maybe NAU with Cookus. But waiting til 2018 for it not what he wanted.
