EWU vs. UNLV

UNLV is an example of why I would hate to see the Griz move up. The answer may be for teams to actually move down. UNLV, Idaho, U of Nevada, Wyoming, Tulsa. So many mediocre teams playing in terrible bowl games at the end of the season. (If they make it). The NCAA has created a mess. Will be interesting to see how things shake out, but it doesn’t look good! UNLV is embarrassing.

Tate Martell didn't play last night. Got two years left. Originally signed by Ohio State, TRANSFERRED to Miami, TRANSFERRED to UNLV in late July. Home town boy from Bishop Gorman HS, somehow got a thumb injury("damaged his transfer stock")and his coach said Tate hasn't told him anything, but knows he'll let him know when he's ready. The only downside to Martell is his size(5'11", 205# as a nationally ranked(#2)dual threat QB).
Perhaps those of you in the know can explain the injury problem(I know I can't). Also, your view of two transfers in two years.

Still, 2 FBS wins for Big Sky teams in the first couple of days into the season. Congrats to Ewho!

Sure wish the Griz could get a MW team instead of a ranked team looking favorable to win the Pac12. At the same time, way to aim high Griz!!

I'd love to see how the Griz stack up against Mountain West, MAC or Sunbelt teams. I remember the Griz playing Wyoming pretty competitively a few years back.

The bummer is that those teams don't have the pockets of P5 schools, and you'd take a 35%-40% discount on your payday to play a lower level FBS school. I'm not sure it pencils financially for the athletic department when they can schedule a home game and make more money, which looks to be the plan in the coming years.

Its a bummer for the players and fans, but I guess its a good problem to have.
