EWU Nevada game

I thought EWU played well from what I could tell. The fact is that if we had to play a FBS team we would likely be doubled up as well. Fortunately, being the Yankees of the Big Sky we don't have to play these money games for our budget. Our athletic program is in a different league so I see no use in belittling EWU. They so the best they van with what they have. We should win every time and all the time. I agree on the assessment of their ticket guy but I've always enjoyed their fans. They've treated me well every opportunity I've had with them.

Seriously, moderators, how many EWU posters are the same person? It has to be at least three.

Nice try, buddy. Please, if any moderator can show that I'm posting under any other account but this one, by all means........

Sorry to disappoint. I am only posting as one person. Admittedly I did marry an Eagle. Sorry, but still a Griz and see a middle ground. Do you not agree that we are the Yankees of the BSC? That we should win every game given our budget size? Are we not the dominate team/program in the BSC? EWU has zero chance against our programs but I appreciate their efforts to compete with us.

I don't seem to know anything about the WAC? Really? LMAO....Then please edify me, oh enlightened one. You said Nevada is crap, DID YOU NOT?.......Nevada is almost always the runner-up in the WAC. So I say again, WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE WAC? Hello? McFly???? Are you really this stupid?

Yeah, I have 1200 posts..................since 2001. Did you not notice that part? That doesn't mean I post on egriz all the time, genius,

Say classy, buddy.

How many times are you going to call me stupid while claiming the mantle of "classyness"?

We beat your EWU routinely. UNR just just tossed a frame bang your way. Seems to me we are more like UNR than we are like you. It makes sense for us to compete with teams that actually play past the 3rd quarter. None of that changes the fact that Nevada isn't even in the WAC anymore or that UNR has only finished second in the WAC twice despite your claims that they always finish second.

I'm waiting for you to get one thing right here.

Also, you haven't been posting since 2001. It's been since 2003. It says so right by your name.

Like I said, get one thing right.

Ewu didn't look there best tonight, but still competed into the 4th qtr. Good luck against Western State, no clue who they are, on Saturday, you really stepped it up for this one and all non-conference games this year. After seeing tonights game, you'd better be worried about T. Jones, he made Nevada look slow in the open field. Keep complaining about the EWU ticket office and red turf, because we could really care less. Just keep patting your selves on the back and telling eachother how good you are. Sounds as if the wizzies are looking for anything they can hang there hat on against the Eagles. Get used to losing as your program is in decline.

Yes, back to back trips to the NC illustrate the "decline." 14-3 against EWU is another indicator. We can't wait to get a shot at that EWU 'defense.'

Not talking about last year, that's history! I'm saying the Grizz program with all the JC's and jailbirds, will have no chemistry and be "it's all about ne guys". Great talent, but no TEAM. Last years records mean nothing to me, you lost 18 seniors.

It is fair to say the griz have issues to work out this year with new coach, new faces etc.

Its also fair to say theres a 95% chance EWU is going to get their asses handed to them even with the lame ass red turf and the desperate acts by the EWU athletic dept to limit griz fans turnout at the game.

Its also fair to say next year after the new red turf wow factor has worn off that EWU will once again be unable to sell out their lame ass high school with a track stadium. Must be fun to be a 2-bit program with no fan base. But hey, you got some gay ass red carpet out of the deal!

I'll take that bet. Not a math wiz but what's that, about 20 to 1 odds you're giving? Hell, I'll take 10 to 1 odds, any amount of $$ and I'll take the eagles on the blood turf.

I think you need to change your screen name. I think you seem like and EWU fan from this and other posts. We don't even have the largest athletic budget in the Big Sky either. According to a recent talk from Greg Sundberg, GSA director, Montana State has a higher athletic budget than us. I will not take anything away from EWU as they are a good team and it should be a great game on the 18th and I will be there supporting the Griz, will you be there supporting your wife's Eagles. Yes we do dominate the Big Sky and there are many reasons for that and our budget is part of it, but not the entire thing. We are not the Yankees, we are Montana and have some simarlities to a lot of teams. If we were the Yankees then maybe our weight room would actually be bigger than one in Bozeman's high school.

SuckSt also has an AD budget larger than UM. That's their basis for rationalizing that they are a better move-up candidate than UM. Throw their 34-74 BSC record aside...

Obviously you aren't a math wiz. He's saying the Griz will be heavily favored, not that he's giving 20-1 or 10-1 odds. Those odds don't even exist in single game football betting.

I thought everyone that went to Bozeman was a math ace? Thanks for proving me wrong. Time to get a new formula cheat sheet, kitty.

Lots of riff raff around prior to the season this year. Funny the fans of the teams that will actually be good this year (NAU, WSU) aren't on here talking smack.

Heh Heh... you can tell we're inching closer to kickoff! For the teams that will "actually be good", that's gonna be MSU, EWU, and UM... in that order! NAU and Weber will be OK.

So, if a team has a 95% chance of winning... what does that mean for the Vegas oddsmakers... Mr. smarty pants!

Why are we even being drawn into this? Any chance you get to take shots, I guess.

I don't even want my program to move up, but for one sole reason...to rub it in your face Kemajic, like the dog crap on my shoe. You have serious inferiority issues--you literally can't go more than a few posts without bringing Sac State up.

My apologies to all the other Griz fans, you are class acts with the exception of one crusty poster.

I love the Griz, but think perspective is a good thing. As for your assertion that we don't have the largest budget in the Big Sky, a simple google search shows otherwise.

University of Montana $15,214,997
Sacramento State $15,030,881
Montana State $13,300,791
Northern Arizona $10,903,027*
Idaho State $9,910,121
Portland State $9,842,541
Weber State $8,852,330
Northern Colorado $8,584,425
Eastern Washington $7,571,312

Sac State is high, but that is completely due to location. We should dominate, particularly the likes of EWU that have HALF our budget. It is a joke. Ticket guy aside, EWU folks are good people that support the Griz and vice versa. The red turf may not be for everyone, but you have to respect the media impact it is having for them. It is pure marketing with recognition in USA Today this week, the Wall Street Journal, NY Times and ESPN. I think an even better color field would be Maroon. I wish no one ill will, just feel we should respect all, particularly those less fortunate.
