Well, I'm solid on knowing that the NCAA will undoubtedly take the next three and a half years to investigate; leave no rock undisturbed; even the one they came crawling out from under, I say. IMHO

This is sad. I certainly am not going to defend him or her. Even harder, she is only 17! There is no way to spin this one, or JJ's case of being positive for either party, their families, and their lives. IF, there is something positive to come from these misfortunes, I hope some young people (males and females) become more aware of what can happen, when you make dumb decisions. For any parent struggling with their teenager about what can happen, please show them these incidents. I hope some teenagers/young adults will wake up to reality, and learn through these hardships. The "that cannot happen to me" attitude has to be changed to "It can happen to you!"

As for Hannah, don't paint all of GRIZNATION with the same brush because of the minority. To be honest, for the most part, GRIZNATION has been pretty understanding of the recent case. If, she feels some fans taking JJ's side, or even the accuser's side, this is America and we have the right to take sides. Egrizzers have pointed out both sides of the nasty JJ case. I find nothing wrong with either side stating what they think. With that said, I do believe the prosecution has a lot to overcome.

AS for this new EWU case, I hope it is settled more timely. I do think it will be more tame, simply because the girl is a minor, and she should be more protected than JJ's accuser has been. (which by the way, I think what has been made available to the public, is not right.)

Isn't that the truth. Sreamin' has had a lot of fun snickering, pointing fingers, making posters, etc. at the Griz. It's sad that it has to happen in your backyard to develop a sense of couth.

I don't care who's program it is. I get absolutely no joy from seeing this type of thing happening to a rival. 2 lives have been dramatically altered forever, regardless of the outcome. That is a lot more important than football.

Come again? My posts regarding the JJ case have been pretty neutral, as I don't believe it's fair to either party for us, the uninformed, to place guilt and blame, to decide what is truth and what isn't.

Just as it's completely unfair to assume the information in the charging documents is the unadulterated truth, it's also completely unfair to assume the information in the motion to dismiss is the unadulterated truth. Both of them are simply the accounts of each party, presented to best support their case. It's unfortunate for all parties involved, and hopefully the courts will be able to discover the truth of the matter. Until then it's all just biased, speculative BS. :twocents:

The Longest Yard Griz poster was good old fashioned smack, and wasn't directed at the JJ rape case, but all of the incidents that have happened at UM over the last couple years. If you can't handle a little light-hearted smack, then perhaps you need to grow some thicker skin. Not once have I said that JJ is guilty, or that the girl is a lying bitch just trying to get revenge on a star athlete, like a lot of people over here have. I take the same stance on the Dalis Bruce incident. I don't know what happened, I'm not going to place guilt, and let the courts decide it. It's a sad incident for everyone involved, no one wins.
