Eric Hutchison of Mark Morris high school in Long View Washington will be visiting this week end. Eric is a 6-9 forward/center who is an intriguing prospect. He only averaged 9 points and 6 rebounds last year, but has really become a hot prospect this summer. Last month he listed 13 or more schools actively recruiting him. Teams like Sac State at one end to Tulsa and Virginia Tech at the other end. I was told Montana, Tulsa, and Utah State are three of the possible five official visits. I think Eric is the Griz's #1 or #2 post for this year

On another note: I heard one of the Griz's top guard prospect Sterling Carter from Seattle Washington, has just committed to Pacific. I believe he was also scheduled in this week-end.

As of about a week ago I had heard the Griz had about 10 offers out to high school players to fill 3 scholarships.

Have seen Eric play a few times. He was a transfer to Mark Morris a few years ago and has improved tremendously. Mark Morris is a great program and he has been very well coached. I'm sure he would be a nice addition to the Griz.

gotta have them point guards. hate to lose your top one. if we don't get the ones we really want, do we slide taylor over to the point and redshirt stockton?

Carter is not really a pure point. He is listed on Rivals and scout as a point but he is more of a combo guard, or a scoring point. He is a kid who might play more shooting guard early in his career, and point later on. BTW Keep you eye on another Stockton making his way through the Spokane high school ranks.

I am also told that you guy's had Josh Huestis from CMR in this week end. My source said it was an official visit, but I do not think that is correct. Josh I beleive is a junior and only seniors are allowed offiacial visits

I think he is a Junior as well. He has a good upside. He really came on the end of his Sophomore year. He needs to bulk up and improve his range away from the basket, but he does have the athletic skills to do so.

Gonzaga Prep has a very nice team this year. Good size inside and Stockton is a gamer. Very small, quick, makes good decisions, but has a very suspect jump shot. I see him more at the level of Carroll for hoops.
